Our Retailer Membership – Individual Plus supports Individual retailers who are seeking to become a member of Aboriginal Retail Australia and access our retail learning and retailer community through our member portal. Our paid members receive greater access to member services and are included in selected activities that our certified retail members are offered. Paid members can contribute to the governance of the organisation and have access to greater promotional, mentoring and networking opportunities.

Applications are reviewed in batches, typically monthly. Please allow 4 weeks before following up. Additional information may be requested. We encourage you to provide relevant documents during membership application.

If approved, you’ll receive an email with access to your member profile.

Membership is granted under this category as an individual, not a business. We expect that individuals who apply will either be an employee of, or own a business in the retail sector.

If you intend to apply for your business and wish your business to be certified, please do not use this membership category.

The price for membership is $100.00 now.

Supporting Documents

For Retail Membership – Please provide a Membership Certificate and/or a Confirmation of Aboriginality for the majority of business owners. We cannot process your application for business certification unless you provide EITHER a Supply Nation or Chamber membership certificate or Confirmation of Aboriginality. For Retailer Member – Individual – Please provide as many documents as available.

A current and valid certificate of membership of any of the business networks listed above. You only need to provide one.
If you are a member of Supply Nation, you can email them at info@supplynation.org.au to request a duplicate certificate. Note: This field is MANDATORY. If you are NOT a member of a Chamber or Supply Nation, you are will need to upload a file such as your confirmation here to ensure the form will be accepted. This file must be under 2MB.

If you do not provide a membership certificate above, you will need to provide a Confirmation of Aboriginality from your RAP/Land Council or an ACCO (Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation) for the majority of Aboriginal owners of the business. Note: This field is MANDATORY. If you are submitting a certificate from a Chamber or Supply Nation, you are will need to upload a file such as your certificate here also to ensure the form will be accepted. This file must be under 2MB.

If your business is owned by a not-for-profit, please provide information on the registration of the entity eg. the ORIC or ASIC

Other evidence such as work history, genealogies, letters of support (if the above documents are not able to be provided at the time of application). We may contact you for further information if we cannot verify information provided in a timely manner.
